Mathematics is a very popular subject in A - Levels. It combines well with many other A - levels and is highly required by universities and employers. It is an important subject if your main interest is in Science or Engineering.

Assessment

The course consists of six units: -

Pure 1, Pure 2, Pure 3, Statistics 1,Mechanics 1

Statistics 1 includes a coursework assignment that provides an opportunity for the application of mathematics to a real life problem.

The coursework is an integral part of the teaching and learning and counts for 5% of the overall A-level assessment

Entry Requirements

You must have passed the GCSE Mathematics (with C grades) OR Equivalent

Extra help / Tuition to Students

LSST offers extra help to all internal & external students at the mathematics workshop that takes place in the evening, weekend and during the school times.Individual mathematics learning support lessons are also available.
