Admission Procedure

All students should have a good level of English - IELTS Band 6.0 (or equivalent) for undergraduate courses and IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) for Postgraduate courses. All students have to pass the LSST Internal English (ESOL) Test regardless  of their IELTS certificates etc.

Note: If a student fails to pass the LSST English test they will have to join the English course or a short English course parallel to their main study program. There will be an additional nominal fee for this course.

Please download or request an application form from the website or reception. Application forms need to be completed and sent to the LSST Admission Office with supporting documents. Alternatively, student can complete an online application.

Please enclose accompanying documents, such as photocopies of certificates and any supporting references, with the completed application form including admission fees and post to the following address:

Once the application form along with the admission fee has been received and vetted an acknowledgement slip will be sent to the student.
Initial admission will be granted on the basis that the application form and the admission fee have been received.

Accommodation

Many overseas students do not have friends or relatives in the UK with whom they can stay whilst studying in London. Therefore it is important that the School is able to provide students with comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation, within a short distance from the School, saving students expensive transport costs in London.
The School Accommodation Department has good links with letting agents and can assist students in finding reasonably priced quality accommodation in good residential areas (Harrow, Ealing, Wembley, Hounslow etc). Types of accommodation include:

- Shared Dwellings (Houses and Flats) with other LSST students

- Individual self-catering bed-sits

- Paying guest accommodation.

All houses are furnished and centrally heated. Students choosing shared dwellings or bed-sits will have to share their own utility bills (electricity, gas, etc.). For students staying as paying guests these are included in the rent.

Student Welfare Office

The Student Welfare Office has secured discounted rates from nearby hotels for those students who arrive prior to accommodation arrangements being made.
As hotel stays are generally more expensive the Faculty Department will help in finding long-term accommodation at a competitive price.

The School can also prearrange provisional long-term accommodation during the admission process. The student will be required to pay one month’s rent as a deposit in advance. This deposit will need to be paid in tandem with the fees.

Accommodation Rates

The cost of accommodation will range from £65.00 - £100.00 per week. Students will need to pay a month’s rent as a deposit and a month’s rent in advance.

In some cases, students will need to sign a minimum of six months contract in advance
