Course Description Studying Computing and Information Systems will give students the fundamental skills needed to become an information systems professional. Students will learn how to turn a proposal into a working system that can develop and grow to meet new and changing needs. It is the aim of the BSc Computing and Information Systems qualification to provide a wide appreciation of the subject, rather than just an understanding of existing commercial approaches, so that understanding and knowledge can adapt and evolve to match the skills that will be required in the 21st century. Structure and Syllabuses BSc: 12 units (11 units plus the compulsory project) LEVEL 1: Four compulsory full units below: LEVEL 2: Four compulsory full units below: • Programming: advanced topics and techniques LEVEL 3: Eight half units chosen from the following or six half units plus the project valued as one full unit: Project (compulsory for the award of Honours) |
